ADMISSIONS & AVAILABILITY

Finding the Right Fit Starts With a Conversation

Choosing an Adult Family Home involves more than finding an open room. April House takes time to understand each prospective resident’s care needs, routines, mobility, medications, and overall situation before determining whether the home is the right fit.

Current openings can change, so families are encouraged to contact April House directly for the most up-to-date availability.

What to Expect When You Contact April House

THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

The process is intended to be straightforward and personal. It begins with a conversation about the prospective resident and gives both the family and April House an opportunity to determine whether the home is the right fit.

Start With a Conversation

Viola will ask about diagnosis, mobility, medications, daily care needs, payment, and anything else important to understanding the resident’s situation.

Visit April House

Families can tour the home, see the available room, ask questions, and get a better sense of what everyday life at April House is like.

Assessment & Fit

The resident’s needs are reviewed to determine whether April House can safely and appropriately provide the level of care required.

Rates & Next Steps

If April House appears to be a good fit, rates, services, and the remaining admission paperwork can be reviewed together.

Private Pay & Medicaid

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment arrangements can vary depending on the resident’s situation, care needs, and current availability. April House can discuss the available options during the admissions process.

Private Pay

April House accepts private-pay residents. Rates are discussed after the resident’s care needs, room arrangement, and required level of support are understood.

Medicaid

Medicaid may be accepted depending on current availability and individual circumstances. A private-pay resident may also be able to transition to Medicaid through a spend-down when eligible.

Medicaid eligibility, availability, and payment arrangements should be confirmed directly with April House.
